Lead Industrial Automation Engineer
Offer for a freelancer (ZZPer)
Contract dates: 01/04/2022 - 31/03/2023

Target:
In the next 4 years, co-determine and with the help of system integrators realize industrial automation projects of various sizes at the Sassenheim production site, within the framework of the “Site Master Plan”. Giving direction and contributing to taking the location one step further in the field of industrial automation, depending on the experience next to or under the senior lead automation engineer.

Organization:
Part of the site engineering team of about 8 people. The requested position will be a colleague belonging to or reporting functionally to, the senior lead automation engineer. Given the nature and the importance of the field, unlike the other fields, are the in-house automation engineers involved fairly intensively during all project phases.


Working environment:
• Lots of local automation, with local HMIs. A number of systems with link to ERP system
• Siemens PLCs. MES implementation is imminent. site OT network change of infrastructure and ERP link

Tasks:
• Determining the technical solution, in outline, for the functionalities of the technical automation systems such as PLC, HMI, MES, etc
• Co-determination of the functional specifications
• Review of technical designs as proposed by the system integrator
• Co-defining and maintaining technical standards for industrial automation
• In addition to specifications, draw up additional provisions for conclusive (contract) agreements with suppliers
• Managing system integrators for the realization of the requested functionalities
• Alignment with corporate engineering about standards and projects to be carried out
• Responsible for budget estimates, detailed (sub) budgets, realization with SI.
• Think along with the strategic choices for the site in terms of system integration(s). i.a. advice for selection of solutions from the corporate digital catalog and beyond
• Source of information/sparring partner between SI and ERP consultants and production
• Liaising with suppliers
• Partly making the realization possible:
- co-designing and coordinating coordination with, among other things, production and other disciplines, construction supervisors.
- co-drafting work permits, contributing to HSE plans
- occasional, but not exceptionally, support for the troubleshooting of new and existing systems

Requirements:
• Minimum 5-10 years of experience in industrial automation
• Minimum 3-5 years in a coordinating role
• Experience with all project phases, including implementation
• Ability to work on a project basis with control of scope, planning, budget, etc.
• Keep an overview and control over the various projects and modifications
• Good communicative skills
• Have fun working on the technical content as well as getting it done and getting your project organized. You can work both behind your desk, in the meeting room and factory.
• Preferably also knowledge and experience with the field of instrumentation
• Experience in an industrial environment, food or pharmaceutical rather than large-scale process industry
• Education level HBO
• Languages ​​Dutch, English
